Convert a Chase statement to Xero

Xero won't read a PDF, and Chase won't export straight to Xero. Convert your Chase statement into a clean, categorized CSV, then import it into Xero in a couple of clicks.

Why Chase statements don't import into Xero directly

Xero imports bank data from CSV, not PDF, so a Chase statement has to be converted first. Chase splits deposits and withdrawals into separate columns; the converter normalizes them into a single signed Amount column. You get one clean, Xero-ready ledger instead of fighting merged cells and split columns.

How to import a Chase statement into Xero

  1. 1. Convert the statement. Upload your Chase statement PDF and download the categorized CSV.
  2. 2. Go to the bank account. In Xero: Accounting → Bank accounts → your account → Manage → Import a Statement.
  3. 3. Map & import. Match Date, Amount, and Description to the CSV columns and import.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import a Chase PDF into Xero directly?
No. Xero imports CSV, not PDF. Convert your Chase statement to CSV first, then import it.
Is my Chase statement stored anywhere?
No. Your PDF is processed in memory to extract the transactions and is never stored.
What CSV format does Xero need?
Xero needs a Date column, an Amount column (signed), and a Description or Payee column. The converter outputs exactly these.
