Convert a Barclays statement to Sage

Sage won't read a PDF, and Barclays won't export straight to Sage. Convert your Barclays statement into a clean, categorized CSV, then import it into Sage Accounting in a couple of clicks.

Why Barclays statements don't import into Sage directly

Sage imports bank data from CSV, not PDF, so a Barclays statement has to be converted first. Barclays uses separate Money in and Money out columns in £; the converter merges them into one signed Amount. You get one clean, Sage-ready ledger instead of fighting merged cells and split columns.

How to import a Barclays statement into Sage Accounting

  1. 1. Convert the statement. Upload your Barclays statement PDF and download the categorized CSV.
  2. 2. Open the bank account. In Sage Accounting: Banking → select the account → Connect/Import → Import Statement.
  3. 3. Map & import. Map Date, Amount, and Description to the CSV columns and import.
